When two similar and great stories come together… the result could only be peerless!
Lightning Bolt joins Las Américas Surf Pro for a unique event with different activities throughout 14 days in Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Lightning Bolt Festival will be the first surfing championship for retro single and twin fins at Las Américas Surf Pro.
As a core message, we will insist on spreading the iconic statement “Destroy the waves not the beaches”.
Sustainability is a big and central motto for the whole event, as well as for Lightning Bolt.
This is the reason why we are planning different activities with a focus on environmental protection.
At our last event, we had an activity where children from local schools drew on an Ecological Pipeliner, which will be raffled and the funds will revert to the victims of the 2021 Cumbre Vieja Volcanic Eruption.
Lightning Bolt surfboards from the new collection will be awarded to the winners in each category.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Did you know that Las Américas Surf Pro emerged during the 70's by local, European and American surfers? And that the first championship took place during the ‘80s, along with a strong movement for the protection of the waves?
Surfers from all over the world have turned Playa de Las Américas and its “Spanish Left” wave into a benchmark for surfing.
