LIGHTNING BOLT AND LAS AMÉRICAS SURF PRO UNITE SURFING AND EDUCATION FOR A SOLIDARY PURPOSE
Last year, on the 2nd of December 2021, young students from the Instituto Luis Diego Cuscoy visited the Surfest Las Américas Pro, in Playa de Las Américas, to participate in an awareness action promoted by Lightning Bolt.
The students decorated the bottom of an ecological surfboard to reflect on sustainability and the impacts of the Volcano Cumbre Viaje eruption, in La Palma, which started in September 2021 (a neighboring island of Tenerife).
This year 2022, that same surfboard shaped by Vitor Spottt, one of our official shapers, and already finished in eco-tech to be a symbol of the importance of a new sustainable legacy for future generations - and clearly, for the surfing championship -, will be raffled within the actions carried out in the event.
The main goal is to keep raising awareness towards sustainability and unite surfing and education for a bigger purpose!
The funds collected from the raffle sales during the 14 days of the event will be donated to an association to support La Palma Island.
HOW TO SUPPORT THIS CAUSE AND GET A RAFFLE?
To support this cause, you just need to visit Lightning Bolt’s booth at Surfest Las Américas Pro, in the famous Playa de Las Américas, in Tenerife, and buy a 5€ raffle.
On the last day of the event, the winner will be announced and take with him a very special Lightning Bolt Ecological Pipeliner, with the "Gold Level" seal in ecology, decorated by the young students, with the well-known shaper Spottt.
Lightning Bolt is proud to have brought together such wonderful people with similar values and life philosophies, in addition to having brought together great shapers with young people from the municipality of Arona.
For yet another year, surfing teaches us that, in addition to being a sport, it is a way to educate future generations of surfers and people committed to the environment.
