OUR JOURNEY CONTINUES
In the new FW20/21 collection we show our continued journey into contemporary clothing with a strong connection to our heritage and to nature. Our FW 20/21 collection is confident, vibrant and richly colorful. We strive each season to make a true honest and wearable collection, a layered mix of contemporary surfwear, streetwear and re-engineered old favorites. Colors are deep and rich, matched with textured and heritage fabrics.
Shapes are loose and comfortable. Feel-good corduroy jackets, adventurous and warm cotton flannel shirts and jackets, fine cotton fleece sweats and hoodies, easy fit pants. Today the brand’s heritage translates to street appeal a contemporary silhouette that evolves each season to reverberate the changes in current shapes, culture and in life. INTO A GREENER FUTURE
We are working closely in collaboration with initiatives that believe in a waste free environment. In a very near future all garments will be made of sustainable materials, such as organic cotton and recycled textiles. The organic cotton is produced and certified to organic agricultural standards, sustaining the health of soils, ecosystems and people by using natural processes and not allowing the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs (genetically modified organisms).
It combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved. Also, by choosing recycled polyester made from certified and traceable «upcycled marine plastic», we’re able to deliver the same performance in fibers with a smaller environmental footprint.
TRANSPARENT SUPPLY CHAIN
Our production is constantly upgraded and made in Portugal. The company prides itself on sourcing premium product for the conscious consumer that emphasizes quality, style and utility as well as supporting local manufacturing. We are cautious and selective in the choice of sustainable materials (organic cotton, recycled polyester) and of ours suppliers. Lightning Bolt belongs to the 80-year-old major Portuguese textile group – TMG Group – that has been quality oriented since the beginning.
As early as 1992, TMG was certified under standards EN ISSO 9000 and all companies of the group launched their registration process. We are proud to be one of the leading textile companies to become certified under quality processes and management systems to nmeet international standards – EN ISSO 9001, ISSO 14001, NP 4397, OHSAS 18000, GOTS and OKÖ-TEX specifications.
